The Urban Study Case is one of the program highlights of Jakarta Future Festival 2026, aimed at studying the city’s direction to formulate Jakarta’s future leading up to its 500th anniversary. In this session, Urban Study Case carries the theme Connecting Jakarta and Tokyo through Urban Living Labs, referring to best practices from Tokyo in exploring innovative urban solutions for future cities. Drawing from Tokyo’s best practices as a global urban living lab, the session highlights key urban challenges and opportunities through the lens of smart mobility, urban integration, waste management, and disaster resilience.
